Cloud Engineer with State Gov


Our client is a state government department looking for a
has a requirement for a skilled technician to assist with daily operations including administering servers and web hosting in our AWS Cloud presence.
Here is a brief overview of the kind of resources we are looking for:

What you know
  • A sound understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts
  • Understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud operations

  • Understanding of Linux administration specifically RHEL and CentOS


Desirable skills:
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Services such as RDS,
    Route53, CloudFront, Application Load Balancers and target groups
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code via tools such as VSC, Terraform, Gitlab and Ansible Automation Platform
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, specifically RHEL and CentOS; experience with Docker
  • Experience with Webserver hosting with including WordPress, NGINX, PHP and MySQL
  • Experience with planning, implementing and maintaining OS patch levels and upgrades
  • Experience maintaining software patches and upgrades

Who you are:
  • Demonstrated experience within complex ICT environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small operational team
