Senior Procurement Coordinator - 5-month temporary opportunity.

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Coordinator to join their team on a 5-month short-term temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

  • Leads the delivery of professional tendering and contract administration services, ensuring alignment with organisational and industry standards.

  • Ensures adherence to governance frameworks, delegated authorities, and policy requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.

  • Prepares and reviews contract documentation with a focus on innovation, risk mitigation, and achieving value-for-money outcomes.

  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including legal and technical experts, to manage risks and support contract processes.

  • Develops tailored approaches to maximise supplier engagement and supports strategic contract management for complex procurements.

  • Drives improvements in contract administration practices and contributes to system upgrades and process efficiencies.

  • Leads the development and review of policies, promotes ethical practices, and supports equal opportunity and workplace safety initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate, and manage tasks effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals.

  • Proven skills in prioritising and organising work in a fast-paced, complex setting, with a proactive and flexible approach to meeting deadlines.

  • Experience in coordinating procurement and contract activities in alignment with relevant policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise, consult, and negotiate with diverse stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Highly developed analytical capabilities, including data interpretation, report writing, and providing informed advice to support decision-making.

  • Holds a relevant tertiary qualification or possesses equivalent professional experience.
