Hays is currently undertaking a talent pooling activity and is looking for candidates who are interested in obtaining contact centre positions within the Federal Government.

This is an opportunity for you to be placed into a talent pool that will be drawn on in the case of a role in the call/contact centre space within the federal government. These roles range from APS3-APS5 and come from a variety of different departments across the Canberra region. If you have strong communication skills and are interested in being represented, then please submit an expression of interest by applying to this ad.

As this is a talent pool for call/contact centre-based work, you must be comfortable answering calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.

The following would be beneficial but not essential:
  • Previous experience with call or contact centre type role (e.g. Receptionist, telecommunications, help desk, etc)
  • Ability to communicate with all customers across various channels, including face-to-face, email and phone queries
  • Previous stakeholder engagement and management
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to demonstrate
  • Understanding of the use of web-based programmes, email, MS Office
As this is a talent pool for work within the federal government, Australian citizenship is essential and non-negotiable. The requirement for a security clearance will vary from department to department, but the ability to obtain and maintain it can provide an additional advantage.
