Your new role
As Engagement Advisor, you will lead the planning and execution of tailored engagement strategies that support complex projects with broad community impact. You’ll work proactively to identify stakeholders, manage community expectations, and ensure engagement is transparent, inclusive and aligned with organisational priorities.
In addition to providing high-level advice and oversight of engagement delivery, this position plays a key leadership role—supporting staff, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring engagement approaches are coordinated and effective across multiple teams and channels.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Proven experience leading engagement on complex or sensitive initiatives
Strong political and organisational acumen with sound judgement in high-stakes environments
Demonstrated ability to influence, lead teams, and resolve competing stakeholder interests
Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing deadlines and priorities
A proactive and strategic mindset, with a strong commitment to community-focused outcomes
An IAP2 accreditation or understanding of principles to ensure inclusive and ethical engagement practices would be highly favoured
Possess a valid NPC and DHS WWCC
