The company is looking to hire an experienced assistant account executive, to deal with a strong book of commercial work, covering mainly Business Package, Small ISR, Public / Management Liability, Marine Transit, and Cyber. Your new role
This role will see you work as part of a successful and hard-working commercial insurance broking team, dealing with a broad mix of both new and existing commercial and SME clients. Your main responsibilities will include:
Support the management of a diverse portfolio of SME clients across multiple industries
Assist in preparing and presenting customised insurance solutions and renewal proposals
Liaise with underwriters to help negotiate terms and facilitate the issuance of policy documentation
Respond to client enquiries and assist with claims lodgement and follow-up.
Contribute to identifying new business opportunities and generating referral leads
Ensure adherence to RG146 requirements, industry regulations, and company policies
Stay informed on insurance products, market developments, and emerging trends
Collaborate closely with Account Executives and team members to achieve business objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification preferred.
Minimum 12 months of experience in working within commercial insurance broking, or a similar, transferable product line.
Good technical knowledge of a range of general insurance products.
Familiarity with claims processes and broking systems.
Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
This position would be suitable for someone with some basic knowledge of brokering, with a view to stepping up in your career.
