Your new role

As the Agribusiness Officer, you will:
  • Lead strategic initiatives that support the growth and sustainability of the agribusiness, food, and beverage sectors
  • Work closely with farmers, industry groups, government agencies, and community organisations to drive innovation, influence policy, and deliver impactful outcomes
  • Implement initiatives aligned with the Council’s Food Strategy and Agribusiness Audit Report to promote sustainable economic growth
  • Advocate for and implement environmentally sustainable practices to address challenges such as climate change and market fluctuations

What you'll need to succeed

A degree in agricultural science, environmental science, or a related field, with relevant experience in agriculture
  • Proven experience in the agribusiness, food, or beverage sectors, with a strong understanding of industry trends and challenges
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans that promote sustainable growth
  • Sound understanding of planning controls, including land use planning documents, green wedge management plans, and township strategies
