Our client requires a Director of Corporate Services to join their team as soon as possible for a 3–5 month temporary full-time opportunity contract. This position is in Perth’s metropolitan area nearby to public transport and parking. The role will be leading a medium-sized and dynamic team as well as driving business improvement initiatives. Our client is seeking a passionate and driven individual who can drive operational success.
Your new role
The responsibilities of this role will consist of:
Provide strategic leadership aligned with organisational goals and support executive planning.
Drive cultural and operational change to improve capability and performance.
Advise the Executive Director and Board on high-level strategic matters.
Maintain governance, compliance, and risk frameworks across key areas.
Lead internal audit and assurance programs, ensuring alignment with public sector standards.
Oversee budgeting, capital investment, financial reporting, and performance monitoring.
Manage financial systems, audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Develop efficient, transparent procurement practices and ICT strategies.
Oversee facilities, records, and operational support services for value and compliance.
Build partnerships with government and private sector stakeholders.
Represent the organisation in senior forums and ministerial briefings.
Lead a high-performing team across corporate functions.
Foster a positive, values-driven culture and support workforce development
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and building capability to achieve strategic objectives.
Extensive experience managing IT, finance, and corporate services including risk, WHS, policy, information, and facilities.
Proven ability to design and implement governance frameworks and procedures that support compliance and strategic outcomes.
Strong strategic thinking and relationship-building skills, with a track record of influencing results through collaboration and effective resource management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
Holds a relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business, or equivalent.
