We’re working with a leading client in the defence and technology sector, who are currently expanding their engineering capability and are seeking to bring on a Senior Systems Engineer in a permanent capacity.

Due to the nature of the work, an NV1 security clearance is required.
Your new role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for embedding product security into every stage of the systems development lifecycle. You’ll work closely with engineering and architecture teams to design secure systems, develop specifications from a cyber perspective, and contribute to the integration of multiple platforms and technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing cyber-resilient designs aligned with ISM and other frameworks
- Leading threat and risk assessments to support secure system architecture
- Collaborating across engineering teams to ensure security is embedded in technical specifications
- Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related technical discipline
- Strong systems engineering background with a deep understanding of SDLC
- NV1 clearance (mandatory)
- Experience with solution architecture and cyber frameworks is advantageous (ISM, PSPF, DSPF, NIST, ACSI)
- Ability to translate cyber requirements into engineered solutions
- Bonus: Experience with operational technology (OT), industrial systems, or MBSE tools like Cameo or Visio
- Passion for the field, continuous professional development, and strong communication skills
