An independent Victorian regulator is seeking a Team Lead to support the delivery of high-volume licencing and registration services. The organisation plays a critical role in overseeing professional standards, ensuring compliance with legislation, and maintaining public confidence in a regulated sector.

Reporting to the Manager, Licencing, the Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of licencing activities, allocation of workflow, and supporting a team to meet service standards. The role includes one direct report on an ongoing basis and temporary staff during peak licencing periods.

• Allocate and monitor incoming enquiries and licencing matters

• Oversee rostering to ensure coverage across service channels

• Monitor service KPIs and conduct quality assurance checks

• Provide operational guidance and support to staff

• Supervise and mentor an Administrative Officer and seasonal staff

• Contribute to process improvements, reporting and data analysis

• Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on licencing matters

• Assist management with operational projects as required

You are an organised and confident professional with experience in regulatory or licencing environments. You will be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-volume setting and enjoy guiding less experienced staff. Strong judgement, communication skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities will be essential.

• Licencing, registration or regulatory operations in a government or statutory setting

• Supervising or coordinating staff in a service delivery environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage workflows and meet service standards

• VPS Grade 5.1 (salary as per VPS Enterprise Agreement)

• Fixed term to 25 June 2026

• Hybrid work model: three days in the office, two days from home
