Your new role
As the Senior Data Engineer, you'll join a high-impact, greenfield cloud migration project. You'll work closely with a solution architect, tech delivery leads, and a cross-functional team of analysts and developers. Your mission is to take a medium-level design and transform it into a robust, scalable, and secure data platform. You'll be responsible for replicating vendor data into a central integration layer, managing multiple Azure tenancies, and implementing secure data flows using Microsoft Private Link.
This role demands deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. You'll be expected to navigate vague requirements, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and drive clarity through detailed design and execution.
What you'll need to succeed
This role isn't for the faint-hearted. You will be the best fit for the role if you are a seasoned Data Engineer who thrives in complexity, ambiguity, and greenfield environments. You'll be the go-to technical expert, translating high-level concepts into scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions across multiple Azure tenancies.
- Strong experience and advanced proficiency in Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory, Integration Runtime, Managed SQL Server, and CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, or similar, especially for data transformation and segregation tasks.
- Experience with Azure Private Link and secure data replication across multiple Azure tenancies.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security protocols, and cloud architecture best practices.
- Ability to design and implement robust data pipelines in a PaaS environment, avoiding legacy infrastructure pitfalls.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with varying levels of technical maturity
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to communicate with BAs, analysts, tech leads, and non-technical stakeholders.
