• Provide expert advice and guidance on WHS matters across the organisation.
• Support the development, implementation, and review of health and safety policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Facilitate WHS training and awareness programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and government standards.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline is preferred.
• Extensive experience in a WHS advisory role.
• Previous experience in a state government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of WA WHS legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
