Your new company
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team on a 6-month temporary basis. This role is critical in supporting the organisation’s commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and prior experience working within a state government environment.
Your new role
Provide expert advice and guidance on WHS matters across the organisation.
Support the development, implementation, and review of health and safety policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
Facilitate WHS training and awareness programs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and government standards.
Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline is preferred.
Extensive experience in a WHS advisory role.
Previous experience in a state government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of WA WHS legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
