Our client is a large public hospital located close to Perth CBD.
Your new role
Shift Engineers are required to work on a rotating shift roster covering the following shift times:
7AM–3PM
3PM–11PM
11PM–7AM.
As the Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all facility operations and building management systems across the hospital. In addition, you will be responsible for:
• Attending to different plant rooms to ensure that equipment is working correctly and is maintained
• Responding to minor emergency repairs required throughout the hospital buildings, facilities and plants
• Carrying out daily steam boiler checks and water chemical analysis tests
• Providing advice and compiling reports on minor works carried out
• Undertake high voltage switching procedures when necessary
• Support the wider facilities team with any other business to support the team workflows
What you'll need to succeed
• Possession of a relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
• Possession or progress towards a Worksafe Australian Licence to Perform High Risk Boiler Intermediate Certificate
• White card
• Demonstrated operational experience working with refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and plant equipment
• Strong knowledge and understanding of emergency situation procedures
• Current 'C' or 'C.A' class driving licence
• Flexibility in working on a shift roster

Weekly pay structure
$55 per hour plus penalties on some shifts
12% super paid on all hours
9-month temporary position
Paid parking is available on site, and free parking is available during night shifts.
