Your new role
As the Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a lodging portfolio, ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance, and resident engagement. You’ll work closely with the Housing Services Manager and be part of a team committed to providing safe and supportive housing environments.
- Manage room vacancies, resident sign-ups, rental payments, and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing policies.
- Engage with residents, monitor house rule adherence, and coordinate support services.
- Liaise with caretakers, cleaners, and external agencies to support housing operations.
- Uphold organisational standards, including safety, diversity, and policy compliance.
- Perform other duties as required to support the housing team.
What you'll need to succeed - Proven experience in tenancy and housing management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with diverse and vulnerable populations.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of social housing frameworks and cultural diversity principles.
- Solid organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.
- Current Driving Licence, National Police Clearance, and Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
