Our
client is a well-established engineering and metalwork firm based in Canberra,
renowned for delivering high-quality custom steel, stainless steel and
aluminium products. With a strong reputation across residential, commercial and
retail sectors, this dynamic company is seeking a proactive Logistics
Coordinator to support their growing operations at their Mitchell facility.
Your new role
As a logistics
coordinator, you'll be responsible for:
- Driving a 4.5 tonne truck to
facilitate the delivery and collection of materials, fabricated products,
and goods between sites, the factory, powder coating facilities and
suppliers as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing
deliveries using a forklift, including unloading supplier trucks,
organizing inventory, and storing materials appropriately
- Conduct regular pick-ups of
consumables and stock from various suppliers to ensure timely availability
of required items
- Monitor and track purchase
orders related to goods and products for powder coating, returns, and site
deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
- Collaborate closely with office
staff and management to coordinate purchase order timelines and delivery
schedules. Liaise with the construction manager, site supervisors, and
factory supervisors to align logistics with project requirements and
delivery deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
- Prior experience in logistics,
delivery, or warehouse coordination role is highly regarded
- A valid White Card, Asbestos
Awareness and Silica Awareness certifications, are essential for site
access
- A current driver's license is
required to perform on-site deliveries safely and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work
proactively, take initiative and operate independently
