The Australian Government Agency is at the forefront of Science and Technology for the country. They have a diverse property portfolio across 50 locations. Their Infrastructure Services team are currently seeking a strategic leader to head up the Project Management Office (PMO). The Infrastructure Services team ensure their nationwide facilities operate efficiently and align with the agency's strategic direction.

Your new role

• Lead the development and implementation of the Capital Works Project Management Framework.
• Oversee maturity assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage PMO functions, including governance pipeline, project reviews, and financial processes.
• Conduct assessments of active projects and provide strategic recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership and training
• Act as a subject-matter expert in project management, supporting best practices and tool development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead a team with a focus on collaboration, integrity, and excellence.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated capability in leading PMO within the commonwealth environment
• Strong understanding of project methodologies, contract management, WHS legislation, and Commonwealth Procurement
• Proven experience in performance management and capability development
• High level understanding of Infrastructure program management
• Ideally, you will have relevant industry qualifications.
• Strong leadership capabilities and high-level communication skills
• You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to work with the Federal Government.
