Your new role
Are you passionate about embedding cultural safety and inclusion into HR practices? This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation driven by values as a Cultural Strategic Coordinator within the People and Culture team.
Reporting to both the Director of Indigenous Policy and Programs and the Head of People and Culture, you will coordinate culturally safe recruitment processes and contribute to strategic initiatives that support the organisation’s commitment to inclusion.
You will:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment activities and support the employee lifecycle
- Co-design and implement recruitment strategies and organisational policies.
- Engage with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and Māori communities and stakeholders.
- Facilitate internal cultural safety training, yarning circles, and education sessions.
- Support strategic projects and contribute to continuous improvement across HR functions.
What you'll need to succeed
This is an identified position open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples under section 33B of the Discrimination Act 1991 (ACT).
You will bring:
- Experience in HR, recruitment, policy development or project coordination.
- Strong understanding of cultural safety and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., Employment Hero, Alfresco Docs).
A relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related field is highly desirable.
