An exciting opportunity has opened for an EL1 Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact technical initiatives within a federal government program focused on compliance, fraud prevention, and digital transformation. Your new role

You’ll be joining a respected federal agency on an initial 12-month contract. Known for its commitment to integrity, innovation, and service excellence. The team is collaborative, mission-driven, and focused on delivering outcomes that support national priorities and public trust. Responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects, from planning and scoping through to execution and closure
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment between technical and business stakeholders
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain project momentum and quality
• Oversee project governance and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability
• Drive delivery of secure, scalable ICT solutions aligned with compliance and risk frameworks
• Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget

What you'll need to succeed

• Australian Citizenship (mandatory) and ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Project / Senior Project Manager, ideally with fraud programs.
• 5+ years of experience delivering ICT system projects in government or regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of Agile and hybrid project management methodologies
• Proven ability to manage governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across technical and business domains
• Familiarity with federal procurement and labour hire compliance (ACT, VIC, QLD)
