APS6 Program Officer

24-month Project Officer role for leading federal health client.

Your new role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Officer (APS Level 6) to join a high-impact national program focused on expanding digital health capabilities. You’ll play a key operational role in supporting the planning, delivery, and reporting of projects that contribute to improved health outcomes across Australia.

  • Lead financial reporting, procurement, and contract management activities, including forecasting, accruals, and SAP processes
  • Coordinate and prepare program documentation, status reports, and updates to project management systems
  • Develop high-quality project materials to support briefings, presentations, and deliverables tracking
  • Support risk identification and mitigation planning in collaboration with senior project managers
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform project planning and decision-making
  • Engage with internal teams including Finance, Partnerships, and the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO)
  • Provide daily operational support to senior leadership, including meeting coordination, documentation management, and invoice processing
  • Maintain CRM records and coordinate HR-related requests such as position variations and remote work submissions

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in federal and health is highly desired.
  • To thrive in this role, you’ll need strong experience in project coordination, financial and contract management, and stakeholder engagement within a structured governance environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP, project management frameworks, and government reporting requirements is essential.
  • You must be an Australian citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance and a national police check.
  • Your ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively will be key to your success.
