Your new role
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of workers impacted by mental health challenges? As a Mental Health Consultant, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how mental injury claims are managed—bringing compassion, expertise, and innovation to every case. You’ll help design and deliver best-practice strategies that support recovery, resilience, and return to work, while influencing the broader wellbeing culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of mental health strategies under the NSW Workers Compensation scheme
- Design innovative, face-to-face return-to-work approaches for mental injury claims
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to foster a culture of mental health awareness and continuous improvement
- Provide expert guidance to leaders and claims teams to drive best-practice outcomes
- Analyse performance trends and risks, and implement solutions to enhance service delivery
- Champion wellbeing initiatives that support both workers and internal teams
What you'll need to succeed
- Professional experience in mental health (e.g. psychology, nursing, social work, counselling)
- Strong understanding of mental health risk management and recovery strategies
- Ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Experience in building and sustaining supportive workplace cultures
- Background in workers' compensation or claims management
- Experience delivering specialised return-to-work services
- Industry-specific qualifications in personal injury or mental health
