Based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, this organisation is a for-purpose medical facility with a leading position in its specialised niche. They are hiring a proactive OHS Coordinator to join their team, paying up to $115k + super FTE.

Your new role

Reporting to the manager, this role will oversee end-to-end Occupational Health & Safety responsibilities. Key tasks include emergency preparedness, incident management, biological safety, radiation safety, return to work, capability building and more. You will also manage inspections and certifications for laboratories, and collaborate with the facilities team to oversee contractor safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as an OHS specialist
• Prior background in a laboratory/medical/R&D environment
• Solid project management skills
