Your new role
As Project Communications Lead, you will deliver strategic communications for two major priorities, the Enrolment Service Project, and the Personalised Learning Project.
You will develop and implement targeted communications aligned with project milestones, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, and engaging for diverse audiences, including school-based staff, corporate teams, parents, and external stakeholders.
Working with the Communications Directorate and project teams, you will integrate communications with change management activities and build strong relationships to drive understanding, adoption, and support for project outcomes across the state.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Strategic Communication: Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic communication strategies that set clear and measurable objectives.
Content Creation: Demonstrated experience and ability to develop clear, engaging, and accessible communication materials tailored to diverse audiences across various formats, including written, visual, and digital content, ensuring messages are impactful, aligned with objectives, and resonate with stakeholders.
Leadership and Communication Management: Demonstrated experience in leading a team to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities, including the strategic and operational delivery of major communication projects, strategies, campaigns, and related elements such as branding.
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and alignment, including understanding of audience needs to deliver relevant, tailored, and effective messaging.
Integration with Change Management: Ability to work collaboratively with change management resources to align communication strategies with project transformation goals. By embedding communication into change initiatives, you ensure stakeholders are well-informed, engaged, and prepared for transitions.
Technical: Proficient in using communication tools and platforms, including content management systems, graphic design software, and social media, with strong technical skills that support managing online channels and deliver high-quality digital content.
Creativity and Adaptability: Ability to approach communication challenges with innovative solutions, adapting strategies and content to meet changing priorities and audience needs.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Exceptional analytical skills to measure the impact of communication strategies and feedback mechanisms, identify areas for improvement, and drive innovation and effectiveness in communication efforts.
Tertiary qualifications in communications or a relevant discipline
Candidates must be willing to obtain a DHS Working with Children Clearance as well as undertake RAN Responding to Abuse & Neglect full day/online training course every three years.
