Your new role
As a Program Officer, you will support the delivery of a targeted grants program designed to establish and strengthen services in areas with limited access. You will work closely with service providers—many of which are community-controlled organisations—to manage funding agreements and ensure program objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the administration and oversight of grant agreements
- Reviewing financial and performance reports from funded services
- Engaging with grant recipients to ensure compliance and provide operational support
- Building relationships with community organisations and service providers
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve service access
- Contributing to broader program operations and ad hoc tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in program or grant management within a government or community setting
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with diverse and remote communities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
You must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undergo and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance. Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is highly regarded.
