Our client is currently seeking an experienced Underground Fixed Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically skilled professional.

Your new role

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and servicing of underground fixed plant equipment including mono pumps, crushers, conveyors, and dewatering systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults across underground infrastructure
• Maintain and inspect ventilation systems, including fans, ducting, and regulators
• Ensure refuge chambers are fully operational and compliant with safety standards
• Work collaboratively with other trades and operational teams to optimise plant performance
• Complete maintenance documentation and equipment logs accurately
• Uphold strict safety standards and participate in risk assessments and hazard identification
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in underground mining environments
• Strong working knowledge of mono pumps and associated systems
• Familiarity with underground fixed plant infrastructure
• Experience maintaining ventilation systems and refuge chambers
• Proficient in fault-finding and interpreting technical documentation

• High-risk work licences, dogging, rigging (essential)
• Confined Space, Working at Heights, and First Aid certifications
