Maintenance Fitter

Several Qualified Boilermakers and Qualified Fitters needed for Quarry operations in Melbourne's West
We are currently looking for several Qualified Fitters (Maintenance or Mechanical) and Qualified Boilermakers to join three busy quarry operations in Melbourne's outer West. These sites are primarily focused on rock crushing, involving the operation, maintenance, and repair of heavy machinery such as crushers, conveyors, screens, and loaders. All roles are casual and ongoing with the potential to transition into full-time employment.

Your new role

You’ll be working on-site in a fast-paced quarry environment, responsible for:
  • Maintaining and repairing heavy fixed and mobile plant machinery
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and performing preventative maintenance
  • Fabrication and machining of components as needed
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
This is a hands-on role where your mechanical expertise will be put to good use every day. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values safety, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you must have:
  • Cert III in Engineering (Fabrication or Fitting)
  • Quarry or heavy industrial experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to safety and teamwork
