Your new role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated GIS Analyst. You'll be supporting the infrastructure projects by managing geospatial data, developing spatial tools, and delivering actionable insights through mapping and analysis. Your work will contribute to operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and strategic planning across the company's assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS databases and spatial systems (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ESRI Portal).
- Create high-quality maps, dashboards, and spatial visualisations to support decision-making.
- Conduct spatial analysis for asset management, environmental approvals, and infrastructure planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data with operational and SAP datasets.
- Maintain metadata, ensure data integrity, and adhere to geospatial standards and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to internal GIS users.
- Contribute to the development of geospatial tools and automation using Python or FME.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Data Science, Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in GIS analysis or spatial data management.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS).
- Experience with spatial databases, data modelling, and geospatial scripting (Python, SQL).
- Familiarity with asset management systems and utility models (e.g., ArcGIS Utility Network).
- Knowledge of FME, SDE maintenance, and geospatial standards is highly desirable.
