Your new company
RS Chase Lawyers is a litigation firm with a proven track record in civil and commercial disputes. The team is known for combining strong technical capability with practical, results-driven advocacy. As they continue to scale, they’re looking for a senior litigation lawyer who’s ready to step up, lead a small team, and take ownership of a busy and rewarding practice area.
You’ll be joining a vibrant, collaborative workplace with a real sense of momentum. The firm has grown to over 20 staff and counting — with legal, operational and administrative support to match. We invest in our people, promote from within, and offer a genuine pathway for lawyers ready to lead.
Your new role
This role isn’t about pushing paper — it’s about driving litigation forward, guiding junior lawyers, and being a central part of the firm’s continued growth. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and have the autonomy to run matters end-to-end while shaping a high-performing team around you.
Run a busy portfolio of motor vehicle liability litigation matters (primarily for not-at-fault drivers)
Manage and mentor junior lawyers and legal assistants
Provide strategic advice and drive matters through to resolution — whether negotiated or litigated
Engage directly with clients, counsel and counterparties to resolve disputes effectively
Help shape internal processes and be part of broader firm growth and development.
What you'll need to succeed
At least 5 years PAE in civil litigation, commercial litigation, or insurance-related disputes
Prior experience with motor vehicle claims or liability matters is ideal but not essential.
Strong leadership skills — you’ll supervise a small team from day one, with support
Confident file management, excellent drafting, and clear client communication.
A commercially minded, solutions-first approach
What you'll get in return
Genuine leadership role from day one
Clear career progression: Senior Solicitor → Special Counsel → Principal
Supportive, diverse team culture – team lunches, social events, and real collaboration
No billable or BD required at this stage — but both will be implemented (with KPIs and bonuses) in 3–6 months, giving you time to embed.
Office-based role in Preston, with flexibility offered as needed
