A growing MSP in the Melbourne South-Eastern suburbs is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, commencing ASAP. Your new role
In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
- Maintain and optimise the existing security stack across all clients.
- Collaborate with sales to develop tailored cybersecurity solutions.
- Scoping, completing high-level and low-level design solutions and end-to-end project delivery.
- Ensure Essential 8 compliance (Level 1/2) for all clients.
- Manage relationships with key security vendors to stay current with technology trends.
- Support delivery of Professional Services contracts when available.
- Train and mentor Level 1 and 2 technicians.
- Assist in maintaining the organisation's existing ISO 27001 certification.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years’ cybersecurity experience (BAU or projects)
- FortiGate, FortiSIEM, Microsoft security tools experience, Barracuda, Huntress, Nodeware, Cisco Meraki.
- Fortinet NSE4 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and client engagement
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy regulations
- Full Australian working rights and valid driving licence
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with secured and monitored cloud-based services hosted in AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- An MSP background is highly valued.
- Level 3 Wintel technical expertise desirable.
A current and valid Victorian Drivers licence and full working rights.
- Tertiary qualifications e.g. Degree or Diploma in an Information Technology-related or Computer Science-related field, as well as extensive relevant industry experience, is required.
