CUSTOMER IDENTITY SOLUTION ARCHITECT

CUSTOMER IDENTITY SOLUTION ARCHITECT | Brisbane | Initial 12-Month Contract

Your new company

Join a forward-thinking public-sector organisation driving digital transformation across citizen services. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) initiative that will shape secure and scalable digital experiences for individuals and organisations alike. The team is committed to innovation, compliance, and user-centric design, with a strong emphasis on architectural excellence and integration consistency.

Your new role

As the Solution Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a modern, Azure-native CIAM platform. You’ll provide technical leadership across all phases of delivery—from solution design to implementation and operational transition—ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, privacy regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
You’ll lead the architecture for both individual and organisational identity services, including:
  • Azure AD B2C custom policies, API Management, and micro-API layers
  • Cosmos DB data models, RBAC, delegated-authority patterns
  • Identity linking, legacy-account migration, and proof-of-record-ownership services
  • Operational readiness including blue-green deployments, monitoring, and run-books
  • Integration with TDIF, MyID/myGovID, ABR, and ASIC web services
You’ll collaborate closely with delivery teams, Enterprise Architects, and stakeholders to produce reference architectures, threat models, and transition-to-support documentation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Solution or Domain Architect on large-scale digital identity or security programmes
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services: Azure AD B2C, API Management, Functions, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Front Door, Azure Relay
  • Hands-on architecture experience with .NET 8 back-ends and React/TypeScript front-ends
  • Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (PKCE), RBAC, and step-up authentication
  • Familiarity with TDIF and integration with Australian government identity services
  • Advanced knowledge of Cosmos DB partitioning, consistency tuning, and serverless optimisation
  • Experience with Power Platform, Dataverse, and address-validation/geocoding services

What you'll get in return

This organisation is willing to offer a competitive salary to the right candidate. If you are a great problem-solver, have great time management, and love working collaboratively, we look forward to discussing this position and remuneration further.
