Our client is an Phosphate Rock Project, located south of
Mount Isa in Queensland.
Your
New Role
As
an Electrician, you’ll play a central role in supporting our production
operations, reporting directly to the Maintenance or Processing Superintendent
or Plant Supervisors. You’ll ensure the smooth, efficient running of our
Phosphate Wash Plant and Crushing Circuit, working an 8/6 roster with 12-hour
shifts FIFO out of Townsville, Brisbane or DIDO Mount Isa. Key responsibilities
include:

Operate and maintain the
Phosphate Wash Plant to maximize production efficiency and product
quality, in accordance with directions from Production Superintendents and
Supervisors.

Monitor plant performance
through regular roving duties and implement necessary adjustments to
ensure optimal operation.

Identify, report, and
promptly address workplace hazards, adhering strictly to the Health,
Safety & Environment Management System.

Conduct planned
maintenance activities, operational inspections, and equipment servicing
as scheduled.

Perform repairs during
equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Provide after-hours
on-call support for electrical breakdowns during night shifts within your
14-day rostered period.

Carry out additional
duties and responsibilities as directed by site management and team
leaders.
What You'll
Need to Succeed

Manual Driver license
-
Ability to pass a mine site
medical
-
Current CPR / LVR
-
Extensive experience in the
operation and maintenance of fixed plant equipment, ensuring optimal
performance and reliability.

Proficient in reading and
interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and instrumentation drawings to
support accurate diagnostics and repairs.

Solid understanding of
programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable speed drives (VSDs), and
control relay systems.

Proven expertise in
electrical testing, fault diagnosis, and resolution, contributing to
reduced downtime and increased efficiency.

Skilled in conducting
comprehensive electrical audits and inspections to maintain compliance
with safety and regulatory standards.

Must possess a recognized
relevant trade qualification. (Electrician)
