Contracts Support Officer

6-month temporary opportunity for a Contracts Support Officer within the public sector.

Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Support Officer to join their team on a 6-month short-term temporary contract.

Your new role

  • Assist in the development, administration, and ongoing management of routine, low-risk contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

  • Operate and maintain centralised purchasing systems, promote fair and equitable procurement practices, and provide advice on purchasing matters.

  • Support the development and delivery of procurement-related training and educational materials.

  • Prepare routine contract documentation and assist with more complex, higher-risk contracts as needed.

  • Maintain accurate contract records and assist with data entry and reporting tasks.

  • Provide general administrative support, including research, correspondence, report writing, and spreadsheet preparation.

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive work environment, support change initiatives, and represent the branch on committees and working groups when required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in providing contract and general administrative support within a dynamic work environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and work independently or collaboratively within a team.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • Demonstrated initiative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
