Your New Role
As a Procurement Advisor, you’ll be the go-to expert for procurement matters within the Information Systems & Technology division. You’ll guide internal stakeholders through procurement procedures and ensure alignment with state-wide policies. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Advising on procurement strategy and documentation, including acquisition plans, market approaches, and evaluation frameworks
  • Leading the development of low-to medium-risk contracts that meet client needs and deliver value
  • Managing procurement activities in line with legal, financial, and commercial standards
  • Coordinating procurement projects across Whole of Government, departmental, and agency-specific contracts
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies
  • Supporting the implementation of procurement systems and fostering a culture of adaptability and change
  • This role is a 12-month contract role.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
  • At least two years of recent experience in a procurement advisory capacity
  • Proven ability to develop key procurement documents and guide evaluation processes
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement principles and policies
  • Experience in supplier selection, including panel participation or leadership
  • Analytical skills to assess value for money and contract outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Resilience under pressure and flexibility in fast-paced environments
  • A commitment to ethical practice and inclusive workplace values
