Your new role

To provide management, development and support of the strategic network platforms, including Switching and Routing, Wi-Fi, and Network Security. These technologies are critical in connecting and securing assets and systems to ensure our internal and external customers can securely access their applications. Network Engineers are integral to the team and department in delivering on our strategy, and provide invaluable support assisting other technology teams to deliver innovative secure network solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

• A high level of technical skill and experience in managing the following products is desirable:
• Cisco ACI (Highly Desirable)
• WAN Technologies (SDWAN Highly Desirable)
• Cisco SDA (Highly Desirable)
• Routing Protocols – BGP and OSPFV
• Mware NSX.1x & QoS
• Cisco Routing and Switching Technologies
• Cisco Wireless
• Cisco ISE – supporting Wireless and 802.1X
• Network Management Systems (Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, APIC-EM)
• Cloud Networking - Microsoft Azure
  Knowledge of the OSI layers and good troubleshooting skills up to an application level with a proven ability to analyse packet captures
• Technical knowledge of enterprise-level network platforms and processes
• Knowledge of Scripting language - Python would be highly desirable
• Have knowledge of secure development practices and application deployment methodologies
• Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of disciplines in change control, security, performance monitoring, ongoing administration, and documentation
• Strong ability to interpret designs and strategies as they relate to platforms and understand how this impacts both Information Technology and Business.
• Customer focus: Ability to interpret and analyse customer requirements; influence design solutions in-line with the strategy
• Utilise established internal and external networks to promote innovative solutions for customers
• Ability to handle complexity and uncertainty and work Agile
• Strong presentation and written communication skills
