Your new company
Our client is an established and well-regarded manufacturing and wholesale distribution business serving the needs of construction industry across Cairns. They are currently seeking an experienced warehouse operator/Storeperson to join their busy stores depot in the Cairns region.
Your new role
Your position as a Warehouse Operative will see you showcase your skills within the industry as you complete tasks such as receiving and preparing orders for deliveries, moving and organising stock, loading and unloading materials into trucks and vehicles, completing paperwork, forklift operation, ensuring a clean and safe warehouse environment and working under direction of the supervisor.
What you'll need to succeed
You have a strong background in warehousing with experience in manual labour and a great understanding of safety requirements regarding manual handling and lifting. You are a team player and have a motivated can-do attitude.
The following skills, tickets and qualifications will also lead to your success in this role:
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg.
- Forklift Licence
- MR or HR Driver’s Licence
- Transport to warehouse
- Able to pass random drug and alcohol screening
- White Card
- Able to work in the Cairns heat
