A leading national education organisation is seeking an experienced Manager, Instructional Design & Compliance, to lead the development of high-quality, compliant training products aligned with learner needs. This is a key leadership opportunity for a VET expert with a strong background in instructional design, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Your new role
This role is a full-time fixed-term contract with an initial 18-month term.
Reporting to the General Manager, Product Development, the Manager, Instructional Design & Compliance will lead the end-to-end development, review, and implementation of accredited training products, including qualifications, units of competency, and supporting resources.
You will:
- Oversee the development and delivery of training products in line with the Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF) and Standards for Training Packages.
- Lead revisions to qualifications and learning resources to meet compliance standards and support RTO implementation.
- Drive technical writing and preparation of documentation to support the endorsement and implementation of training products.
- Produce high-quality RTO guidance materials and supporting documentation.
- Represent the organisation at stakeholder consultations, including roundtables, technical advisory groups, and industry forums.
- Manage project timelines, risks, deliverables and ensure accurate reporting to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent quality, compliance, and engagement across all product development activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- In-depth experience in the Australian VET sector, particularly across instructional design, compliance, training product development, and stakeholder consultation.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver training product development projects.
- Strong understanding of national training frameworks and quality standards (ASQA, TPOF, Training Package Standards).
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, policy interpretation, and formal documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, engage stakeholders, and work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant qualifications in Education or Training, ideally supported by TAE40116/40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
- Willingness to travel nationally to attend stakeholder meetings, forums, and consultations as required.
