My client plays a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of Australia by regulating banks, insurance companies and superannuation funds. They are undertaking a multi-year Data Strategy to uplift enterprise data governance across its operations.

Your new role

You will be at the forefront of embedding robust data governance practices into their data landscape. You’ll collaborate with data domain leads, risk, technology and business units to implement policy, standards and procedures and drive continuous improvement across the full data management lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in data governance, quality, or management projects, especially in complex financial, consulting or government environments
• Strong ability to build relationships and influence across senior leadership and key stakeholders
• Experience in documenting and implementing data policies, standards, and procedures
• Solid knowledge of data lifecycle management, metadata management, data risk controls, and issue management
• Understanding of relevant frameworks and regulatory requirements: CPG235, CPS230, FOI Act, Privacy Act, Corporations Act & FSCODA
• Data risk or governance certifications (e.g. CDMP, CIMP) highly regarded
