Our client operates a Mobility Service Centre in Mackay, Queensland, specialising in repairs and maintenance for the rail industry. Your new role

• Assist with mechanical work on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, automotive air-conditioning, and auto electrical systems
• Support trade-qualified staff during repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Perform general maintenance and regular servicing of plant and equipment
• Follow WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) protocols strictly
• Operate tools and machinery under supervision

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous mechanical trades assistant experience
• HRWL – LF
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and complete a police check
• Contactable references
• Living locally in the Mackay region

What you'll get in return

You will be offered a role working locally in the Mackay Region. You will be working on a Monday to Friday roster (approx 38 hrs per week). Hays will pay you on a weekly basis, and you will be paid an attractive hourly rate + penalties & super. Our position is commencing ASAP in the Mackay Region and is long term for the right candidate.
