Your new role
As a Workforce Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of a strategic security program linked to compliance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act. You’ll lead efforts to identify and classify roles as “Critical Workers” within the enterprise, designing and maintaining governance frameworks that integrate deeply with both human resources and technical operations. This is a newly created role with wide visibility and opportunity to contribute to national infrastructure protection. Responsibilities include:
- Analyse org charts, position descriptions, and operational workflows to determine critical role classifications.
- Develop and maintain a Critical Worker Register and supporting documentation.
- Partner with HR, legal, security, and technology stakeholders to validate workforce mappings.
- Document requirements and implement processes that ensure sustainable compliance and role identification.
- Produce dashboards and reports that track compliance and workforce segmentation across the enterprise.
- Monitor SOCI-related regulatory updates and embed changes into internal frameworks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Support continuity planning and security programs through accurate workforce mapping and governance.
- Background in workforce planning, HR governance, GRC, or operational risk.
- Strong analytical skills in role classification and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity-adjacent governance, especially within regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with access management, identity & critical system exposure considerations.
- Excellent documentation, reporting and organisational mapping abilities.
- Experience working in a SOCI, NIST, ASD or similar compliance environment is highly desirable.
