Hays are partnering with an established renewable energy group in their search for a Finance Manager. They are focused on reducing emissions and accelerating Australia's transition to a renewable energy future. They are currently working on several solar, wind, battery, pumped hydro and energy storage projects across New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia in development and construction.

Your new role

Due to continual growth, there is now an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the business. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager and operate with a high level of autonomy, whilst supervising 3 existing employees. This role includes financial reporting and accounting operations and is critical in providing accurate and timely financial insights that support key business decisions, optimising financial processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Finance Manager will play an important role in shaping the financial strategy of the organisation and ensuring its long-term growth and stability by:

• Managing external audits and reviews
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards and other financial reporting
• Take responsibility for the month-end reporting for the group
• Assisting in the completion of budgets and forecasts
• Training and management of the team
• Supporting continuous business processes and systems improvements

What you'll need to succeed

As the ideal candidate, you’ll have a demonstrated background in a similar role in a commercial environment or are looking for your first role in industry. CA/CPA qualified you’ll have excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and can work with minimal supervision. You’ll also possess strong IT abilities, have clear and concise communication skills, and the ability to develop long and lasting internal stakeholder relationships.
