Senior Economic Analyst
6-month temporary contract with view to extension| $70 p/hour + super
A Senior Economic Analyst position has become available for a 6-month engagement to aid the team's increased workload and support the team in the delivery of initiatives due to an increase in business proposals.
Your new role
Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Regulation division, this role will be responsible for the regulation of sustainable networks and support for the wider leadership team. Further, you will be tasked with:
- Conducting in-depth analysis of business expenditure proposals.
- Communicating analysts’ findings
- Assessing costs and drafting recommendations for the board while linking to compliance and legal obligations.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be experienced in an Economist or business expenditure proposals within the public sector with an analytical mindset, supported by:
Public sector experience in a commercial disciple, such as economics, finance, law, electrical engineering or mathematics, would be highly regarded.
- Experience assessing the efficiency of capital and operating expenditure proposals.
- Understand the importance of reasonable and justifiable decision-making in a regulatory environment.
Australian Citizenship.
