Your new role

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated insurance professional to manage and grow a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be delivering tailored insurance solutions, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to business growth through retention and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing renewals, supporting claims, and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts, all while upholding high standards of service and compliance. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of SME and mid-market commercial clients, ensuring their insurance programs are well-structured and up-to-date
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and gather underwriting information to support placement and renewal strategies
  • Negotiate terms and coverage with insurers to secure competitive and comprehensive solutions for clients
  • Prepare renewal reports, policy schedules, and supporting documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain regular contact with key clients, providing proactive advice and updates on market conditions and emerging risks
  • Assist clients with claims lodgement and resolution, acting as their advocate throughout the process
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client coverage through cross-selling and upselling relevant commercial products
  • Respond to new business enquiries and prepare tailored proposals for prospective clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including assistant brokers and claims staff, to ensure seamless service delivery

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered for this position, you will be an experienced insurance account executive with proven knowledge of commercial and SME broking.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in commercial insurance broking
  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
  • RG146 compliance or equivalent industry certification
  • Strong understanding of general insurance products including property, liability, motor, and financial lines
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and claims handling
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver tailored advice
  • Skilled at negotiating terms and presenting insurance solutions
  • Ability to identify and act on cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • High attention to detail in documentation and compliance
