Your new role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in the assessment, design, and delivery of public domain infrastructure across the LGA. Reporting to the Infrastructure Programs Coordinator, you will:
- Assess development plans and issue compliance certificates.
- Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with Council and legislative standards.
- Inspect and manage public infrastructure assets, including stormwater systems.
- Prepare project briefs, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality public domain outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure design, asset management, or stormwater management.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and relevant legislation (e.g. Roads Act 1993, EP&A Act 1979).
- Proficiency in GIS and asset management systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A current Class C Driver’s License.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualifications in engineering or management.
- Project management experience and familiarity with traffic and environmental regulations.
