My client, a key government department, are looking for a Communication Officer to join their team on this temporary assignment. This is a fast paced and dynamic role that will have you contributing to providing key communications plans to stakeholders both internal and external.
Your new role
As a Communications Officer you will contribute to the implementation of communication strategies. You will work to initiate activities to inform and educate staff, communities and key stakeholders to foster a positive outlook on the department.
You will be involved in creating print publications, work on a variety of communication initiatives, manage the department's SharePoint page, review public website content and ensure that it is regularly reviewed and updated, preparing communications on behalf of executive teams by developing internal communications, presentations and speaking points.

- Ability to work independently
- Eagerness to learn and expand your skillset
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with a problem solving and can-do attitude
- Ability to translate technical information into engaging and easy to understand language for different audiences
- Superior communications skills both written and verbal to manage and build on relationships with stakeholders at varying levels
- Ability to commence immediately and to commit to the assignment for the full duration
