Your new company
Our government client requires an Audit and Risk Lead to join their team in an initial temporary contract capacity. This position is located in Perth CBD nearby to public transport and parking. This is a full-time opportunity with the expectation of working 37.5 hours per week on an initial 3-month temporary contract. The role will report to a wider governance and strategy team consisting of 8 people.
Your new role
The responsibilities of this role will consist of:
Lead Risk Management: Conduct in-depth research and critical analysis to identify and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
Strategic Advisory: Deliver expert guidance to stakeholders across the organisation on managing strategic and operational risks.
Enhance Risk Frameworks: Drive the evolution of risk and compliance frameworks, reporting, and digital process improvements.
Audit Planning & Coordination: Contribute to developing multi-year and annual internal audit plans and oversee their implementation in partnership with the internal audit provider.
Audit Oversight: Supervise outsourced internal audit activities and support the facilitation of external audits.
Governance Support: Manage secretariat responsibilities for the Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC).
What you'll need to succeed
Experience and understanding of ISO risk
Experience leading risk management and risk workshops
Experience working on risk frameworks
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
