Customer Service Officer required for a 3-month assignment within Government

We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual with a background in contact centres to join our team. Experience in a government setting is highly desirable. This role involves handling customer enquiries, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining a high level of knowledge to provide efficient responses. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving outstanding requests, analysing data to improve service delivery, and collaborating with team members to enhance customer service. Strong decision-making abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the initiative to recommend process improvements are essential for this position.

Your new role

  • Handle enquiries at the first point of contact.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and follow up on all requests.
  • Maintain and expand skill levels and knowledge base for prompt and efficient query responses.
  • Resolve outstanding Action Requests.
  • Collate statistical data to analyse and improve customer service and service delivery.
  • Make decisions on general enquiries, considering customer needs and negotiating with relevant service providers.
  • Resolve customer enquiries by suggesting appropriate internal and external parties.
  • Collaborate with other customer service officers and team leaders to make decisions affecting request approaches.
  • Recommend process changes and support them with relevant data.
