Your new role
As a Procurement and Policy Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end procurement processes and contract administration to support the delivery of digital mental health tools and navigation systems. This APS6-level role is well suited to someone who brings sound judgement, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills in a complex policy setting.
You will be responsible for:
Drafting procurement and contract documentation in accordance with CPRs
Monitoring contract milestones and managing contract variations
Supporting policy design and strategic implementation of digital initiatives
Preparing high-quality briefs and correspondence for senior executives and ministers
Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and sector partners to drive outcomes
Providing input into grant guidelines and compliance documentation
Contributing to program governance and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and public sector procurement frameworks
Proven contract management experience within APS or related sectors
Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate complex policy into clear documentation
Stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across levels
Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in a dynamic program environment
A Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain one is essential.
