Your new role

Starting in mid-August 2025 for a 12-month assignment with the view to be extended based on your performance. You will be based at the Docklands office, working Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm. Training is fully based on site for 3 weeks. After training, you will then transition to a hybrid working model, working 3 days from home, 2 from the Docklands office. In the role of an Associate, you will join the Business Solutions Team within NAB Assist that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

Your responsibilities include
  • Evaluate hardship requests and implement tailored arrangements that assess customers’ financial viability, aiming to achieve sustainable turnaround and recovery outcomes.
  • Ensure customers are contacted promptly within a 30-Day Contact Strategy through various communication channels including the phone line (operating Mon to Fri between 8am – 5pm), emails, SMS and letters.
  • Facilitate lending renewals and rewrites, processing discharges, as well as managing the issuance of default notices and demand notices while overseeing the credit listing process.
  • Process Short Term Extensions, Re-ages and Write-Offs.
  • Proactively manage risk and escalate matters with sensitivity in mind.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Prior Business Banking and/or Collections experience
  • Proven ability to have challenging conversations with customers to identify key issues and effectively influence successful turnaround and recovery strategies.
  • Demonstrate resilience and a proactive attitude to achieve optimal outcomes for the customer.
  • Excellent financial acumen, time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital platforms and customer self-service channels (i.e. Siebel, Ebobs, eCRS and PowerCurve).
  • Strong risk awareness coupled with the ability to develop strategies that minimize overall risk and maximize returns for the bank.
