Your new company

A statutory authority responsible for protecting the environment. You’ll work with the Major Projects team based in Melbourne.

Your new role

Reporting to the Team Leader, Major Projects Advisory, you’ll:
  • Assist the senior project advisors with influencing major infrastructure projects and state significant developments towards better long-term environmental outcomes.
  • Undertake assessments of proposed project referrals for the Environmental Effects Statement (EES) and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EBPC).
  • Assist in facilitating communications internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Assist in EES reviews, project and unit reporting, and continuous improvements for Major Projects Advisory work.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, or equivalent.
  • Willingness to hit the ground running, by working independently to support Senior Project Advisors and the team.
  • Experience in project management and reporting.
  • Prior experience in coordinating projects, preferably within the public sector.
  • Good understanding of EPA policies and the Environment Protection Act 2017.
  • Ability to apply scientific knowledge in environment advisory work.
