Your new company

I am looking for an experienced electrician to join our team for a cable tray replacement project on a remote gold mining site. This role requires a solid background in heavy industrial electrical work, particularly in installing, removing, and upgrading cable ladder systems in demanding environments. Candidates must have a strong understanding of mining safety protocols, the ability to interpret complex electrical schematics, and be comfortable working in elevated and confined spaces.

Your new role

• Safely remove and replace existing cable trays and ladders, ensuring minimal disruption to operational systems and strict adherence to mine safety protocols.
• Install new cable ladder systems with correct spacing, support, and fixings to handle heavy-duty industrial cabling in a mining environment.
• Terminate, reconnect, and test electrical cables, verifying continuity and insulation resistance to ensure system integrity and compliance with standards.
• Interpret electrical drawings and site plans to accurately route cables and position supports, avoiding clashes with other infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other trades and supervisors

What you'll need to succeed

• WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• Proven experience installing and replacing cable ladder systems, including cutting, mounting, and securing trays and ladders.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, layout drawings, and installation blueprints to plan routing and support placement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• WA Driver's Licence
• EWP needed.
