As part of a major strategic expansion in the Victorian market, this firm is seeking an experienced workers’ compensation lawyer to join its Melbourne office. Your new role
Run a dynamic portfolio of statutory and common law workers’ compensation matters (approx. 100 clients / 140+ active files)
Engage directly with clients, insurers, and tribunals to secure high-value outcomes
Work within a tight-knit practice group, supported by senior lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants
Participate in a firm culture that rewards results — with no red tape, capped targets, or soft KPIs
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 3 years’ post-admission experience in workers’ compensation (plaintiff or defence)
Strong technical knowledge of WorkCover, serious injury applications, and common law claims
A proactive mindset, billing discipline, and a commercial approach to client service
A current IRO number (for interstate applicants) is advantageous
