Property Security Coordinator

An interesting and exciting opportunity has arisen within a privately-owned organisation with large and specialised facilities across the ACT, including a flagship precinct within Canberra. This organisation prides itself on its culture and unique working environment.
This is a newly created role that will be responsible for managing, maintaining and operating various electronic access control and CCTV systems utilised across all property assets. The Security Coordinator- Property & Operations will be a key contributor to the wider business by proactively controlling and monitoring physical security systems whilst being alert to changing security trends and technologies.


Your new role

  • Work with Property Managers to address physical security questions or incidents to provide guidance and solutions.
  • Show initiative and innovation in developing activities and strategies for managing security relevant to the business
  • Develop an integrated, responsible and proactive approach to managing security.
  • Research technology, equipment and improved procedures that could be adopted by business.
  • Ensure security solutions are adopted with reference to legislative changes where applicable.
  • Review and action as required the nightly security handover notes from the Superintendent Security team.
  • Be alert to and aware of changing security technologies and threats to provide guidance to the wider Property Operations team.
  • Coordinate, chair and minute the Superintendent Security team meetings.
  • Contribute to building the relationships with our security provider(s) and provide insight for contract discussions or review.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated exposure to EAC (Electronic Access Control) and CCTV systems
  • Be able to compete with multiple priorities
  • Strong people skills and the ability to collaborate in a wider team
  • Demonstrated background in financial management
  • Detail orientated with a high customer focus
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • High level of personal presentation
